Founded by Pat Morrow, Martyn Williams and Giles Kershaw, this is to date the first and only commercial airline within Antarctica, flying private expeditions, mountaineers and tourists from Punta Arenas (Chile) to the Patriot Hills, Antarctica and onward (South Pole, Vinson Massif, Dawson Lambert Glacier) to their desired destinations.

Non-profit geological research organization operating within the University of Cambridge and supported by industry. Grew out of regular geological expeditions to Svalbard. CASP's Arctic and Russian Studies project aims to synthesize the geology of the lands bordering the Arctic Ocean and to explain the evolution of the basins and platforms extending from the northern fringes of Russia into lower latitudes. Carries out research in Arctic biology, climate change, UV-B inputs, terrestrial ecosystems, feedbacks to climate, and soil biology.

Glaciological research and supervision of doctoral and masters programmes in the following areas: 1. form and flow of large ice masses; 2. response of glaciers and climatic change; 3. basal ice processes, including hydrology and hydrochemistry; 4. satellite remote sensing of glaciers and ice sheets; and 5. processes and patterns of glacier sedimentation, especially in marine environments.

Originally formed to provide an office and secretariat for the UK Falkland Islands Committee set up in 1968. Its objective is to brings together those who support the continuing freedom of the people of the Falkland Islands to decide their own future for themselves without being subjected to pressure direct or indirect from any quarter. Represents the interests of the Falkland Islands and Falkland Islands Government to the UK Government, Parliament, media and the general public. Completes recruitment and immigration requirements. Provides a civilian booking service to the Islands and promotes tourism.

The National Meteorological Library and Archive contains extensive holdings of meteorological and, to a lesser extent, oceanographic data relating to the polar regions. Charitable organization concerned with the protection and conservation of the historical heritage of human endeavour in Antarctica. UKAHT focuses its activities on structures, sites and artefacts in the Antarctic Peninsula area and those commemorating Antarctic exploration in Britain.

Carries out remmot sensing investigations of the polar regions including the Antarctic and Greenland ice sheets and shelves, sea ice and smaller ice masses in Svalbard.
