Collections: | Extensive collections from Lapland, northern Russia, Siberia and Alaska, also collections from Greenland and Northern Canada. The Alaskan artefacts were primarily collected by Arvid Etholén between 1821 and 1845. The National Museum hosts a permanent exhibition of Sámi culture, and a new permanent exhibition of the Museum of Cultures is in preparation with the title TERRA POLARIS – Land of the North Star. |
