Notes:	Founded, together with the Foundation itself, in 1778. Library specializes in natural history. There is a small collection of polar literature from the l8th and l9th centuries, with only some titles from the 2Oth century. DESCRIPTION OF POLAR COLLECTION: Chiefly polar voyages from the l8th and l9th centuries, bought for reasons of flora/fauna/geology content.
