Full description: |
An Adélie Penguin egg. The egg is beige and very round in shape. The egg is very heavy; there is no drilled hole but the shell is cracked. There are no markings on the egg itself; but an accompanying paper label reads 'Adelie Penguin // HI NN 1948 // Red Rock Ridge' (this has been written in pencil on a Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey geological specimen label). |
