A wooden box with a hinged lid with two brass hinges and a metal catch. The box has slots on either side on the inside, suggesting it was originally intended for slides or glass plate negatives. Handwritten paper labels reading 'FRAGILE // EGG' have been stuck onto the front, back and sides of the box with sellotape. |
