Mittens: One pair, man's, wrist-length. Each mitten (a,b) is made from basically three pieces of seal skin. One piece of seal skin with the dark brown/cream hair to the exterior forms the back of the hand and is turned over the sides and the ends of the fingers. A single piece of same forms the front of the wrist and top of the thumb. A third piece of dehaired seal skin forms the palm and underside of the thumb. Band of white polar bear fur is sewn around the straight upper edge. A strip of dark brown seal skin tied to form a knot is sewn to back of hand under cuff. Structural sewing is with white thread. Evidence of wear on palms.
Liners: One pair, man's, wrist-length. Liners (c,d) extend to mid-forearm and are knit with cream, pink and grey wool yarn.
