Full description: |
Harpoon head is made from a single piece of ivory. Rectangular shaft flares then tapers towards pointed blade at distal end. Rectangular dorsal spurs at proximal end behind circular basal socket. String line is looped through line channel on underside of head. Line is threaded through circular hole at mid-section of piece of ivory which tapers towards point at one end; triangular depression carved at oblique end. End of line is wrapped around rectangular piece of ivory.
