Description: A cylindrical metal tin containing thirteen metal clips and an assortment of screws and washers. From the Commonwealth Trans-Antarctic Expedition 1955-58 and part of a sledging box (Y: 59/8/4/1) containing integrating motor pneumotachograph (IMP) equipment, used for determining energy expenditure by analysing expired air to calculate oxygen consumption.

Full description:

A cylindrical metal tin with a round screw-on lid embossed 'EVANS' (Evans Medical Supplies Ltd). The lid and side of the tin are marked 'CLIPS' in black pen. The tin contains thirteen metal clips of assorted sizes, one metal picture hook, one metal washer, sixteen metal screws of assorted sizes (some of which are attached to the clips) and four very small metal nuts.
