Description: | A caribou skin parka, made/supplied by A/S Kolbjørn Knutsen & Co. of Oslo and used during the Norwegian-British-Swedish Antarctic Expedition 1949-52. This type of parka was frequently used for sedentary jobs; its chief drawbacks were its great bulk and the constant moulting of the hairs. | ||||||||||
