Full description: |
One long duffle inner, made of white blanket cloth ('Type No. 784, No. 1' supplied by James Kenyon and Son) with red cotton stitching. It is made from two pieces of cloth: one for the foot (in the same manner as a short slipper, with narrow seams around the toe, side of foot and back of heel to ensure flatness) and one for the leg (seamed at the back). The stitching is running stitch in a neutral colour on the outside, and overlocking stitch in red on the inside. A cuff has been formed at the top by folding over the top of the inner and stitching it in place.
