The ends of two feathers (only fragments remain) are secured to proximal end of shaft with sinew wrapping. The foreshaft is made from a single piece of bone, oval in cross-section. Six parallel notches are carved on one side of proximal end of foreshaft. The foreshaft is inserted into distal end of shaft and secured with sinew wrapping. A triangular copper point, with bevelled edges, is inserted into pointed distal end of foreshaft and secured with circular copper rivet. A rectangular notch is one side of shaft 9.0 cm from proximal end.
