Full description: |
a: A knife with a very pitted blade, and a wooden handle secured with three brass-coloured rivets. The tang goes all the way through the handle, and the handle has been pared down near the blade – perhaps to take a ferrule or to enable it to fit more easily into the sheath. b: A wooden sheath made in two parts and held together with masking tape. The wood has been pared down at the top (where some string is wrapped loosely round) and lower down (where the masking tape is). There are two metal screws in the tip, it is carved with the initials 'G.A.H.'. |
