a: The front part of a light-weight articulated crampon for the left foot. It is made from a solid piece of metal with four protrusions which have been bent upwards and rolled over at the top - through each of these is a metal ring (two at the toe and two at the sides). The eight points have been forged on separately. There is a hole in the centre back to take the protruding bar of (b) to connect the two parts of the crampon together. It is stamped 'VIENNA AUSTRIA', 'GES.GESCH' and 'L'. There is another mark that is illegible.
b: The back part of a light-weight articulated crampon for the left foot. It is made from a solid piece of metal with a long protrusion at the front (which fits into the hole in (a) to connect the two parts of the crampon together), and with two protrusions which have been bent upwards and rolled over at the top, through each of which is a metal ring. Connected to the ring on the right side is a curved metal heel bar. The five points have been forged on separately.

It is made from a solid piece of metal with four protrusions which have been bent upwards and rolled over at the top – through each of these is a metal ring (two at the toe and two at the sides). The eight points have been forged on separately. There is a hole in the centre back to take the protruding bar of (d) to connect the two parts of the crampon together. It is stamped 'VIENNA AUSTRIA', 'FULPMES' and 'R'. There is another mark that is illegible.
