Full description: |
Suunto M3 magnetic compass with circular plastic needle housing and adjustable, luminous bezel for dial with black, transfer-printed degrees of arc displayed in 20-degree increments around outer edge, and needle suspended over linear declination markings. Needle housing is set over transparent, rectangular plastic baseplate with red, transfer-printed scale markings along two edges, a central magnifier and static, luminous marker for indicating degrees of arc on dial. The baseplate tapers to a point below the compass dial with a perforation for suspension and accompanying blue textile suspension loop with white-metal key for (possible) adjustment of separate instrument. Three circular and one triangular perforations have been made by the manufacturer in the baseplate for aiding map marking. A rectangular glass mirror has been affixed by user with duct tape along all four edges to the reverse of the baseplate to allow user to check for facial injuries from cold temperatures. |
