Description: | Artist's description: 'Having seen the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Ilulissat Icefjord Glacier from sea-leveel in a Zodiac in 1990 I walked to the northern land side of the glacier and ice-bergs. I took the opportunity to sketch a cairn marking the coastal path. En route to this cairn I passed through the extensive "dog" ville [sic] and also a sign warning of the extreme danger of sudden tsunami waves caused by the collapse of huge ice-bergs.' |
