Artist's description: 'Having forsaken back-packing expeditions because of age in August 2009, I travelled on Hurtigruten's MS Fram on a scenic voyage along the west coast of Greenland, from Kangerlussuaq to Umanak via Sisimut and Disko Island, returning via Ilulissat. At Umanak I ventured on to the low plateau above the town, and there completed this rapid sketch of the famous heart-shaped mountain just above me.' |
