Description: This sketch shows the impressive cloud shrouded peaks on the eastern and western sides of Stordal; an area first explored by one of J. M. Wordie’s Cambridge University Expeditions in the late 1920s. Fuchs (leader of the CommonwealthTrans Antarctic Expedition in 1956) was one of the young members of Wordie’s expedition.
