The original chalk and charcoal sketch on ingres paper was given to Wendy Thompson. The artist completed this sketch on a gorgeously sunny and clear day at Kap Dufva. It shows a single iceberg and the full range of the Syltoppen group in the Staunings Alper to the south. Hammar Ø, opposite the Base Camp, is shown to the left of the iceberg. A few days later they would travel back to Base Camp by Zodiac and foot along the coast. |
