Kongebergen, with its pinnacles and wreaths of cloud, dominated most of the views seen by members of the 1991 Erskine Expedition to Traill Island (the last Angus organised before retirement). The sketch shows Lyell Land, which the artist visited in 2007; and used Kongebergen as a background to many sketches. |
