Description:	The artist nearly threw this sketch away, but it does show the Fangersund camp, and the Manniche SØpass to the north, which he and David Shaw had reached on 14 August. An arctic ermine was very fond of popping out from the rocks at the rear of the mess tent shown in this sketch.
