Description: On the penultimate day of the Expedition back at Base Camp, the artist spent a lazy day on short ambles round the Camp, walking to a good viewpoint on the meander bluff, to obtain this sketch. The previous day's walk from their eastern subsidiary camp had been made much longer as they had to travel well inland because of a polar bear sighting by Robert Burton and David shaw on their first Zodiac ferry trip along the coast.
