On this day they walked from their one-night camp (at a cove just east of their Base Camp) in glorious weather to their last subsidiary camp at the eastern end of Straumpollen Bay. En route they saw long-tailed ducks and red-throated divers. The views from the pass above the camp were extensive and included the ice-covered eastern end of Vegasund. |
