Title: |
Krumme LangsØ and the distant ice-cap, looking west from near sirius Hut, N.E. Greenland, July 04. |
Description: |
The artist's viewpoint was on a low rocky hill just above the SØdal Base Camp set up by Robert Burton and Kathleen Cartwright, the leaders of the 2004 Arcturus Expedition to Krumme LangsØ. Their arrival had been delayed a day by fog at Mestersvig, and with the arrival of the second plane (the artist was in the first Twin Otter) he felt relaxed enough to complete his first sketch. |
