Title: Eskimonaes Sirius Station, Clavering Ø, N.E. Greenland 2003.
Description: This was the first sketch the artist did on a disappointing misty day at the historic site of Eskimonaes, the scene of 2nd World War hotilities when one of the German Navy meteorological expeditions which established itself in Greenland in 1943, encountered the Danish sledge patrol. The ruins of the hut burnt down by the Germans still retain plates and cutlery.

Note: Eskimonaes Sirius Station (No. 405 in Peter Schmidt-Mikkelson 1994) built adjacent to the site of the Fangst Station (1931) burnt down by the Germans in 1943. Lat. 74°39'N, long. 20°45'W. (Danmark-Gronland 1:250,000 Sheet 74 Ø.2 Clavering Ø.)
