Description: | The artist did this sketch on a cold day before the Arcturus Eskimonaes and Clavering Ø leaders, Robert Burton and Kathleen Cartwright, led the expedition south in stages to Eskimonaes. Robert and Ian Blisland took supplies by Zodiac to the first intermediate camp. On the Rudi Bugt side of the Shelter Stone was an ancient Inuit shelter, which he had first surveyed in 1999, on the first Arcturus expedition to Clavering Ø. |
