Title: The mountains of Kuhn Ø from camp on southern side of Figelys Fjord, North-East Greenland, August 02.
Description: The artist did this sketch after dinner, recovering from a long but easy climb to the summit of Niesen (618m), behind the camp, with David Shaw, Kathleen Cartwright and Gill Hinshelwood. Rod Corner, the senior botanist and doctor looked across at Kuhn Island with nostalgia, as he had been there in 1900, on a NE Greenland Project expedition.
