Description: | Most members of the Arcturus Myggbukta 2001 expedition, led by Kathleen and Neville Cartwright, walked eastward along the coast to the Myggbukta "C" archaeological site, which Robert Burton and the artist had surveyed in 1989. The artist resurveyed the site with Jean Stenico and David Shaw, and afterwards sketched the extensive view southwards across the ice-strewn Mackenzie Bay. They saw arctic hare, and mats of Honkenya peploides on the beach. |
