This sketch was drawn looking N from the airstrip, on the last day of the expedition, waiting for the Twin Otter to pick the group up. The sketch has a style which reflects that it was a perfect sketching day, with neither mosquitos nor cold winds, which enabled the artist to take much longer over its completion. It lacks the "quickfire" style of sketch undertaken in the normal 1/2-3/4 hour time. |
