Full description:

A narrow strip from a brown canvas flag. It is heavily frayed on the right/free edge, and lightly frayed on the top and bottom edges. The bottom edge is very straight, suggesting that this may be a strip from the bottom of the flag. The left edge has been folded over and stitched to make it double thickness, and contains a metal eyelet.
