Full description:

Carving (a): Bird (owl) (a) standing on the back of a Seal carved from one piece of grey soapstone. Owl has a round head, projecting pointed beak and square tail. Large circular eyes, pupils, nostrils and mouth are incised. Seal is carved with rounded head, projecting muzzle, extended front flippers, square tail and flat underside. Two metal rods on black and white square plastic? base (b) correspond to holes on underside of seal. Circular label glued to tail of bird; circular white/green label "T34" glued to underside of seal. Labels on bottom of base: circular orange "10"; circular green "T34"; circular yellow; square white "62" overlaid with tape.
