Full description: |
Body is made from a single piece of ivory which flares towards two dorsal spurs at notched proximal end. Circular basal socket (for insertion of foreshaft) is drilled behind lateral line channel on underside. Straight proximal end of metal (iron) blade with pointed bevelled tip is inserted into split in pointed distal end of body and secured with a circular metal (iron) rivet. Triangular spur on each side of body 50 mm from distal end. White and blue paper glued to one side of body: "Thule 1937" |
