Description: An unopened 1lb tin of 'Fine Indian and Ceylon tea', produced by Tower Tea Ltd., in a red paper wrapper with faded gold text. According to the wrapper, the tea was specially selected and packed for the 'National Antarctic Expedition, 1901'. However, according to the original accession register, the tea was packed for the British Antarctic Expedition 1898-1900 (Southern Cross), and was brought back by the British Antarctic Expedition 1910-13 (Terra Nova).

An unopened square metal tin of tea with a circular lever lid. The tin is wrapped in dark red paper, with faded gold text on all sides and on the lid.
