Full description: |
A glass thermometer attached to a wooden backing. The thermometer has no markings and no liquid inside. The wooden backing consists of length of dowel which has been cut in half, although it is still fully round at the base. There is a groove running along the length for the thermometer to rest in, and it sits inside a well at the bottom. The thermometer is fixed in place at the top with a metal bracket, and there is a hanging wire drilled through a hole at the top of the backing. There are markings for reading the temperature on the wood itself, rather than the thermometer.
