Full description:

A white textile man-hauling harness. It consists of a white canvas body belt, made of a double layer of fabric, with a metal eyelet secured with stitching at either end. The body belt is stencilled 'F.D.'. It has two crossed canvas and leather shoulder straps, stitched to the belt at the back, and secured with a metal buckle at the front. A length of rope passes through the eyelets and is spliced back on itself; the end of the rope is knotted in three places and is fraying.
