A delicate pair of snow goggles with very slightly tinted glass lenses. They consist of two eye pieces made of very fine wire gauze, joined by a bridge over the nose, which is fixed through a loop on the inner corner of each eye piece. The lenses sit in metal frames. The nose bridge is covered with brown textile, and the edges of the eye pieces with a black velvety textile in order to prevent the metal touching the face and causing frostbite. The goggles would be tied round the head by means of the two narrow brown elastic straps knotted through the edge of the eye pieces.
