A model of a sledge as used on the British Antarctic Expedition 1910-13 (Terra Nova) for sounding and trawling through ice. The contents of the sledge include a roll of rope (removable), a box, a roll of wire, and another box. The model is made of wood and metal, with string wrapped around the front of the sledge, and paper wrapped around the ends of the sledge runners. |
