A stainless steel tube with a lead tip (to weight the dart) and a brown-metal cap marked 'ELEY // 12 //12 // NOBEL'. The tube is engraved 'REWARD PAID FOR RETURN TO DISCOVERY COMMITTEE // COLONIAL OFFICE LONDON // No. 493.'
