Full description: |
A plaited leather dog whip with a turned wooden handle. The handle is incised with decorative rings and has been varnished. The handle is attached to the whip with string binding, and there is a knot in the leather at the start of the whip. The whip is made of plaited brown leather which gradually tapers in diameter. The whip ends with a tail of string tied to the leather, firstly with two strands which have been twisted, and then finally with one strand with a knot in the end. The whip is approximately 13 feet long (including the handle).
