Woman's. Back is 109 mm longer than front. Made from six main pieces of seal skin with the dark brown hair to the exterior. Additional smaller pieces of same are sewn to the bottom of the legs. Each side of front is decorated with a vertical panel 300 mm long and 125 mm wide. Panel consists of a central strip in a geometric mosaic of small pieces of white, red, blue, green, brown, and yellow dehaired skin in repeated diamond, cross and chevron motifs. Central panel is flanked by a 25 mm wide vertical strip of white fur (bear - from typed register). A vertical band (22 - 23 mm wide) of dehaired seal skin painted red borders each side and is attached horizontally across the bottom of the panel. 33 mm wide band of deharied seal skin painted red is attached to bottom of each leg. Dehaired seal skin, painted purple, is sewn to upper edge to form a double-layered 53 mm wide waist band. Structural sewing and applique are with sinew and cotton thread.
