Full description: |
A sun compass consisting of a circular piece of wood with a handle, onto which is stuck a paper disc. The disc is marked '2, 1, 12, 11, 9, 8, 7' on one side and '9, 10, 11, 12, 1, 2' on the other in ink; and 'S, SE, E' in pencil. There is a hole in the centre to take a needle (gnomon) which is now missing.
