Full description:

a: Kayak (a) is flat-bottomed with upturned pointed wood projections at each end. Deck is flat, except where it rises forming a ridge in front of the cockpit coaming. Frame is made of wood (only gunwales, two side stringers, 1 cross piece and 3 ribs visible). D-shaped baleen cockpit coaming is secured with sinew. Frame is covered with dark brown dehaired seal skin sewn with sinew along flat deck. Double-bladed paddle (b) is made from a single piece of wood. Black thread is wound around one blade.
