Full description:

Shaft is made from a single piece of wood, oval in cross-section. Shaft tapers towards proximal end which is circular in cross-section. Shaft flares towards distal end. Rectangular ivory cap with circular hole at the centre is secured to distal end of shaft. Pointed ivory shaft is secured to wood shaft with two lashings of dehaired seal skin thong. Three ivory pegs are inserted into shaft.
