Full description: |
A rectangular flag made from a pale textile, probably wool, printed with the Union Jack. The top and bottom edges of the flag are the selvedge of the fabric and so are not hemmed. The right/free edge of the flag is hemmed. On the left/pole edge of the flag a white canvas tube has been machine-stitched to the flag to hold a bamboo flag pole (part of which remains in the tube). The top of the tube is made from a separate disc of textile with a small pleat in it; the lower end of the tube is reinforced with a section in double thickness canvas to prevent ripping.
