Full description:

a: One pair, girl's. Boots (a,b) are made from three main pieces of dehaired seal skin. A single piece of dark brown seal skin forms the sole, which is turned over the foot and crimped at the toe and heel. Five ridges of dehaired cream seal skin are inserted into the seam between the sole and upper foot. Second and fourth ridge are decorated with equidistantly spaced stitches of dark brown seal skin. U-shaped upper foot is made from a single piece of dark brown dehaired seal skin. Leg section is made from one main piece of same with the front higher than the back. An additional triangular piece of same is inserted at upper edge. Decorative panel is inserted vertically down front of leg and upper foot. Panel consists of a four vertical parallel wavy lines of cream dehaired seal skin flanked by a straight vertical line of same. 12 mm wide band of haired seal skin is sewn across upper edge.

c: Stockings (c,d) are separate from boots. Each is made from three pieces of seal skin with the fur to the interior. A single piece forms the sole, which is turned over the foot and crimped around the toe and heel. Leg section is made from one main piece of same seamed down centre front. An additional triangular piece of same is inserted at upper edge. 20 mm wide band of haired seal skin is sewn to the upper edge. Skin repaired with white thread in overcast stitch. Structural sewing and applique are with sinew and white thread.

d: Stockings (c,d) are separate from boots. Each is made from three pieces of seal skin with the fur to the interior.
