Full description:

A leather dog whip with a wooden handle. The end of the handle is round in cross section, before becoming square, and has a leather wrist strap. The leather of the whip passes through the handle, which is then bound round with leather and secured with rows of metal rivets. The butt of the whip consists of four layers of leather, stitched together with leather. The number of layers diminishes until the whip consists of a single line/lash, made of Helvetia cow-hide. The whip is approximately 40 feet long, including the handle.
