Full description:

A 1:4 scale model of a wooden sledge. It has two wooden runners, curving up at each end, and two wooden uppers. Five uprights are mortised into each runner and lashed with rawhide. At each of the uprights is a wooden cross bar which is lashed to the upright and upper with rawhide. There is a metal bracket at the joins of each upright and cross bar, with a metal collar around each. Two wooden bars run the length of the sledge and are lashed to the cross bars with rawhide. A bent wooden pole, wrapped with thread, curves around the front of the sledge and is lashed with thread and where it meets the runners and uppers. At the back of the sledge is a handlebar assembly consisting of two wooden uprights with a handlebar across the top with two metal tension wires forming a cross between the uprights, and two wooden bars securing the uprights to the uppers and runners of the sledge which are fixed with metal braces. There is a wooden platform at the back, and brake assembly attached beneath the cross bars. A trace rope (string) is wrapped around the first three sets of uprights.
