Line is made from several lengths of partially dehaired walrus skin (from register) with loops at each end. Line is threaded through large hole in 11 tear-dropped shaped ivory buckles and one oval buckle. Length of skin thong is threaded and tied or spliced through smaller hole and groove in narrow end of buckles. Additional skin thong loop, threaded through centre of ivory toggle, is attached to main line. |
