Full description: |
Rectangular model house with extension added on the front. Frame is made of wood covered with grass turf. Circular wooden chimney projects from centre of slightly peaked roof. Ten wooden slats are secured to roof with wooden pegs. Rectangular hole in roof is covered with separate turf-covered wooden panel overlaid with sea-mammal intestine. Wooden sleeping platform on interior. Wooden ladder with 6 cross-bars is suspended from roof on one side with sinew and cotton thread. Square entrance hole cut in the floor. Extension has no floor. Square hole in roof is reinforced with wooden slats, sides with one wooden slat and front with two wooden slats secured with wooden pegs.
