Full description: |
One pair, calf-length. Each is made from three pieces of dark brown dehaired seal skin. A single piece forms the sole which is turned over the sides of the foot and crimped around the toe and heel. A second piece of same forms the upper foot. A rectangular piece of same forms the leg section which flares slightly towards the upper edge and is seamed vertically down the centre front. Double layered casing of unbleached fabric 51 mm wide is attached to straight upper edge and seamed vertically at centre back with white thread. Two holes in fabric at back are reinforced with white thread in blanket stitch. Structural sewing is with sinew and thread. Note: boot
