| Abstract: | Effects of polychlorinated biphenyls on reproduction in Baltic seals demonstrate length of time sometimes needed for countermeasures to be effective, in this case at least 30-40 years. Importance of extensive monitoring of environmental toxins and of conducting intensive impact studies on game animals is stressed. |
